Job summary

ExxonMobil Singapore is seeking an operations professional to prepare equipment for maintenance, support start-ups and shutdowns, and participate in plant turnarounds while ensuring safe, reliable operation across a world-scale refining and petrochemical complex. The role offers exposure to a broad set of process units and field/DCS activities.

The ideal candidate has an engineering-related Nitec qualification, a willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, and strong teamwork and communication

Qualifications

• Nitec or Higher Nitec in related Engineering field.
• Relevant work experience in the petrochemical or refining industry will be an advantage.
• An effective team player with good communication skills.
• Must be prepared to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment for maintenance and perform unit start-up, shutdown and plant turnaround activities.
• Update operating procedures and prepare job pack documentation for equipment repair.
• Perform troubleshooting and to resolve operational issues and provide support for technical and mechanical teams.
• Monitor performance to ensure safe and optimal operation of the plant, equipment, pipeline distribution network and berth facilities.
• Perform structured rounds and take corrective action to maintain equipment and plant operations within safe operating limits.
• Job role can be assigned to start at either the Chemical Plant or Refinery.
