Job summary

VDL ETG Singapore is seeking a Process Engineer to plan and optimize manufacturing/assembly steps from raw materials to completion, focusing on cost-effectiveness and low risk. You will transfer projects, define assembly plans, and drive problems solving in a cleanroom environment.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical or Precision Engineering with at least 2 years in semiconductors, strong Excel skills, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical or Precision Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years as a process engineer in the semiconductor industry.
• Mechanical and electrical workmanship.
• Cleanroom experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Transfer projects, technology, and systems from customer to VDL for new product development.

Job description

Purpose:

Strategic planning and develop cost effective & low risk manufacturing/assembly process steps/planning from raw material to completion including special processes through Product Quality Plan (PQP).

Key Area of Responsibilities:

• Transfer of Project, Technology, System from customer to VDL for New product development
• Define and establish Project Plan for Assembly to meet on time delivery
• Feasibility study for New Assembly
• Identify the facilities/supplies required for the assembly
• Define and establish Project Plan for Assembly to meet on time delivery
• Resolve technical issues in assembly to ensure smooth production
• Manage technical changes to fulfill customer requirement

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical or Precision Engineering or other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a process engineer in the Semiconductor industry or equivalent.
• Mechanical and electrical workmanship
• Experience in working in cleanroom will be an advantage
