JOB SUMMARY:
The Process Engineer (Machining) – Sputtering Target is responsible for optimizing machining processes, supporting new product introduction through technical drawings and documentation, and ensuring stable, efficient, and safe production operations. The role applies manufacturing, engineering, and technological principles to develop, improve, and maintain equipment, procedures, and processes.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Lead and manage machining processes such as milling, turning/lathe, EDM, and grinding to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Develop, review, and maintain Process Instructions (PI), Process Work Instructions (PWI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and other relevant documents for machining operations.
- Provide technical training and guidance to production operators to ensure correct and consistent execution of approved procedures.
- Review and verify Manufacturing Orders (MO), process documents, and operators’ execution to ensure compliance with process requirements.
- Manage and update engineering drawings for all assigned products; ensure accuracy and revision control.
- Set daily production targets and coordinate job dispatching for production teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor and expedite production schedules to ensure on‑time output (OTO) and adherence to delivery commitments.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints; support implementation and follow‑up of corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyse and troubleshoot process engineering and manufacturing issues; recommend effective engineering solutions and develop work instructions.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Company in support of operational and business needs.
COMPETENCIES/ JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Strong understanding of productivity improvement, machining fundamentals, and industrial engineering principles.
- Knowledge of ISO standards; familiarity with IATF requirements is an added advantage.
- Hands‑on experience with basic machinery troubleshooting and diagnostic tools is advantageous.
- Good analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/ Professional Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Engineering - Industrial or equivalent.
