Job summary

Teknor Apex Company in Singapore is seeking a Production Process Engineer to monitor and optimize the plastics compounding line. You will establish processing conditions for existing equipment and drive efficiency improvements while ensuring product quality.

In this role you will lead plant trials, scale up new processes, participate in lean initiatives (5S, value stream mapping) and collaborate across Manufacturing, Technology and quality teams to reduce rejects and downtime.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master’s in Polymers Sciences, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience; fresh grads may apply.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the existing production process with focus on problematic products.
• Set processing conditions for existing equipment and improve efficiency.
• Develop new production process methods based on applications and formulations.
• Resolve process issues by collaborating with Manufacturing and Technology.
• Lead plant trials to qualify new processes and scale up.
• Drive continuous improvement through lean initiatives and 5S/VA mapping.
• Lead cross-functional improvement projects to reduce costs and downtime.
• Establish goals and standards to reduce rejects and downtime.
