Job summary

Our Client in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to lead product development, drive DFM, and ensure manufacturability for low- and high-volume production. You will review designs, lead POC activities, develop manufacturing strategies, and collaborate with Product, SI, Tooling, NPI, and Manufacturing teams to support tooling development, process validation, and launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical or manufacturing engineering within precision manufacturing.
• Experience in product development, process engineering, tooling, automation, and NPI.
• Familiar with stamping, moulding, assembly, or precision electromechanical components.
• Knowledge of DFM, SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development process to ensure robust design and manufacturability for low- and high-volume production.
• Review designs, identify limitations, and recommend improvements to meet DFM and inspection requirements.
• Lead proof-of-concept activities to evaluate new technologies and manufacturing concepts.
• Develop and execute manufacturing strategies for new products, including tooling, automation, and process planning.
• Collaborate with Product, SI, Tooling, NPI, and Manufacturing Engineering teams, and suppliers, to support tooling development, process validation, and launches.
• Develop automation concepts and support debugging, qualification, and optimization of automated assembly equipment, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
• Research and implement new manufacturing technologies and process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
• Support continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and engineering best practices to optimize manufacturing performance.
• Ensure compliance with Product Development Process, quality, EH&S standards, and other company requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the product development process to ensure robust product design and manufacturability for both low- and high-volume production.
• Review product designs, identify design limitations, and recommend improvements to meet Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and inspection requirements.
• Lead proof-of-concept activities to evaluate new technologies and manufacturing concepts, reducing project risks and improving product profitability.
• Develop and execute manufacturing strategies for new products, including tooling development, automation, and process planning to achieve quality, cost, and lead-time targets.
• Work closely with Product, SI, Tooling, NPI, and Manufacturing Engineering teams, as well as suppliers, to support tooling development, process validation, and successful product launches.
• Develop automation concepts and specifications, and support the debugging, qualification, and optimization of automated assembly equipment, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
• Research, evaluate, and implement new manufacturing technologies and process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying Lean, Six Sigma, and engineering best practices to optimize manufacturing performance.
• Ensure compliance with Product Development Process, quality, environmental, health and safety standards, and other company engineering requirements.

Requirements:

• Min Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Min 5 years of experience in mechanical or manufacturing engineering within a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience in product development, process engineering, tooling, automation, and New Product Introduction.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes such as stamping, moulding, assembly, or precision electromechanical components.
• Knowledge of DFM, SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, and project management.
