Job summary

STMicroelectronics Asia Pacific Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Process Engineer to maintain and optimise day‑to‑day semiconductor manufacturing operations, analyse real‑time issues, and implement effective solutions. You will collaborate with Tool Owners, Tool Specialists and Production Supervisors to ensure smooth equipment operation, high yield, and low cost while meeting production targets.

  • Degree in engineering required.
  • 2+ years in semiconductor process engineering or equivalent.
  • Proactive, independent and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Able to quickly learn new technical issues and methods.
  • Solid data analysis capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support day‑to‑day manufacturing operations through real‑time problem analysis and immediate implementation of effective solutions.
  • Ensure smooth equipment operation and process flow by working with Tool Owners, Tool Specialists and Production Supervisors to meet production targets.
  • Provide real‑time troubleshooting for equipment failures, alarms, and SPC violations.
  • Manage and monitor equipment performance using SPC.
  • Collaborate with Engineers on fab yields and D0 problem follow-ups.
  • Follow up on PM/CM qualifications to ensure equipment operates within specs and can return to manufacturing quickly.
  • Assist in maintaining process quality and standardization for industrialization.
  • Ensure processes are documented with clear procedures in the system.
  • Manage Lots on Hold and carry out trial runs for SWR or split lots.
  • Ensure passdown reports include all process/tool details and actions taken.
  • Engage in continuous improvement projects and lead with clear priorities.

YOUR ROLE
  • Maintain and support day‑to‑day manufacturing operations through real‑time problem analysis and immediate implementation of effective solutions.
  • Ensure smooth equipment operation and process flow—delivering high quality, high yield, and low cost—by working closely with Tool Owners, Tool Specialists, and Production Supervisors to achieve overall committed production targets.
  • Provide real‑time troubleshooting for equipment failures, eSTAR/FDC alarms, and SPC violations.
  • Manage and monitor equipment performance using Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Work with Engineer to perform analysis and follow‑up on all reported fab yields and D0 problems
  • Follow up on PM/CM qualifications to ensure equipment operates within specifications and can be returned to Manufacturing in the shortest possible time.
  • Assist in maintaining process quality and supporting process standardization for product and process industrialization.
  • Work with Engineer to ensure all processes are documented with properly written and clearly defined procedures in the system.
  • Manage and follow up on Lots on Hold.
  • Carry out Process Qualifications and Evaluations (trial runs) for SWR or split lots.
  • Ensure proper passdown with all process/tool details and actions taken, clearly listed inside the passdown report
  • Engage and participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Lead and manage the team by setting clear priorities and achieving results through effective communication
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
  • Degree in relevant engineering
  • Minimum 2 year’s relevant experience in semi-conductor process engineering.
  • Proactive attitude, independent and willing to work under stressful environment.
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • Fast learner of new technical issues
  • Engineering data analysis skills
  • Multi-tasking ability
