Job summary

SHIMANO (SINGAPORE) PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a Process Improvement professional to identify root causes of inefficiency and lead cross-functional teams on improvement projects. The role involves developing digitization concepts and applying big-data analytics to enhance process knowledge and performance.

The ideal candidate has engineering degrees or a diploma with relevant experience, plus willingness to travel and collaborate with multiple departments to deliver on time and within cost

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical, Metallurgy, Materials Science and Engineering (or equivalent), 3+ years experience.
• Degree in Mechatronics/Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent), 3+ years experience.
• Diploma in the above fields, 6+ years experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, programming and sensor deployment.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodology.
• Willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate problems / root causes of process inefficiency.
• Identify and source improvements to enhance quality, cost, delivery and environment.
• Lead project teams of engineers and technicians on process improvement.
• Develop process digitization concepts and drive big-data analytics for knowledge gains.
• Collaborate with departments to plan and manage improvement projects.
• Present and manage project schedule, cost and deadlines.

• Identify and source for the potential improvement method to improve process efficiency (Quality, Cost, Delivery and Environmental)
• Lead Project Team (Engineers and Technicians) on process improvement and development activities.
• Develop process digitization concepts and drive big-data analytics for process knowledge improvement
• Work closely with relevant departments to work on improvement plans/ projects
• Present and manage project schedule, cost and completion deadline

Job Requirements

• Degree in Chemical, Metallurgy, Materials Science and Engineering or equivalent, preferably with more than 3 years of relevant experience
• Degree in Mechatronics Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent, preferably with more than 3 years of relevant experience
• Diploma in abovementioned fields, preferably with more than 6 years of relevant experience
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes, programming and sensor deployment
• Sound knowledge in Process Improvement Methodology
• Willing to travel
