Job summary

SHIMANO (SINGAPORE) PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to identify root causes of inefficiency and drive improvement initiatives. You will lead cross-functional teams, develop digitization concepts, and apply big-data analytics to enhance quality, cost, delivery, and environmental metrics.

The role requires a degree in Chemical/Metallurgy/Materials Eng or Mechatronics/Manufacturing Eng (or Diploma with substantial experience), with 3+ years in related fields.

Qualifications

• Degree holders with 3+ years in relevant roles.
• Diploma holders with 6+ years in related fields.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and sensors.
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes of process inefficiency.

• Lead project team of engineers and technicians on improvement activities.
• Develop process digitization concepts and drive big-data analytics.
• Collaborate with departments and manage schedules, costs, and deadlines.

• Identify and evaluate problems / root cause of process inefficiency
• Identify and source for the potential improvement method to improve process efficiency (Quality, Cost, Delivery and Environmental)
• Lead Project Team (Engineers and Technicians) on process improvement and development activities.
• Develop process digitization concepts and drive big-data analytics for process knowledge improvement
• Work closely with relevant departments to work on improvement plans/ projects
• Present and manage project schedule, cost and completion deadline

Job Requirements

• Degree in Chemical, Metallurgy, Materials Science and Engineering or equivalent, preferably with more than 3 years of relevant experience
• Degree in Mechatronics Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent, preferably with more than 3 years of relevant experience
• Diploma in abovementioned fields, preferably with more than 6 years of relevant experience
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes, programming and sensor deployment
• Sound knowledge in Process Improvement Methodology
• Willing to travel
