Job summary

Shimano Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to identify root causes of inefficiencies and lead cross-functional teams in implementing improvements. The role emphasizes digitization concepts and big-data analytics to enhance process knowledge and performance.

The candidate will collaborate with multiple departments to plan projects, monitor schedules and costs, and ensure timely completion. Travel readiness is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate problems / root cause of process inefficiency.
• Identify and source for improvement methods to improve process efficiency (Quality, Cost, Delivery and Environmental).
• Lead Project Team (Engineers and Technicians) on process improvement and development activities.
• Develop process digitization concepts and drive big-data analytics for process knowledge improvement.
• Work closely with relevant departments to work on improvement plans/ projects.
• Present and manage project schedule, cost and completion deadline.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Chemical, Metallurgy, Materials Science and Engineering or equivalent, preferably with more than 3 years of relevant experience

• Degree in Mechatronics Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent, preferably with more than 3 years of relevant experience

• Diploma in abovementioned fields with more than 6 years of relevant experience

• Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes, programming and sensor deployment

• Sound knowledge in Process Improvement Methodology

• Willing to travel
