Job summary

Sheffield Energy Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced offshore structural engineer to lead the design, review, and approval of structural documents, coordinate clarifications, and provide technical support through project construction to ensure delivery.

Responsibilities include defining project parameters, preparing discipline proposals, evaluating bids, reviewing vendor drawings, supporting FAT inspections, and ensuring compliance with API RP-2A and ISO 19901.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering or structural engineering.
• 15+ years of offshore engineering structural design experience (offshore platform, FPSO, semi-submersible).
• Knowledge of API RP-2A, ISO 19901 and related offshore standards.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Familiar with SACS and AutoCAD for structural works.
• Geotechnical and Foundation engineering familiarity; Grlweap, SACS, AutoCAD for geotechnical works.

Responsibilities

• Identify work scope and technical requirements to define project parameters.
• Participate in technical clarifications and prepare detailed discipline proposals.
• Design, review, and approve structural professional documents, ensuring closure of owner comments.
• Coordinate, track, and resolve issues related to structural technical documents to maintain project integrity.
• Prepare or review technical documents for material bidding, evaluate bids, review vendor drawings, and support FAT inspections and procurement activities.
• Prepare or review special technical reports and validate calculation results for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate site activities, lead scheme discussions, and provide technical support during project construction phases.
• Execute additional tasks assigned by the Project Manager and Structure department to support project objectives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree qualifications and above in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering or structural engineering
• More than 15 years of experience in offshore engineering (offshore platform, FPSO and semi-submersible platform, etc.) structural design
• Familiar with the international standards for offshore structural engineering (API RP-2A, ISO 19901 etc.)
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Special requirements: i. Familiar with structural engineering works of offshore oil platform; ii. Using SACS, AutoCAD software to perform structural engineering works
• Special requirement for Geotechnical and Foundation engineer: i. Familiar with Geotechnical and Foundation engineering works of offshore oil platform; ii. Using Grlweap, SACS, AutoCAD softwares to perform Geotechnical and Foundation engineering works
