Job summary

F5 is seeking a Principal SRE to lead with kindness in a follow-the-sun, 24x7 global ops model. You will design, deploy, and operate the foundational infrastructure underpinning a large-scale, multi-datacenter platform spanning 30+ PoPs across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

This hands-on role covers bare metal provisioning, Proxmox clusters, container workloads, cloud and on-prem integration, and security tooling in a PCI-DSS environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience operating large-scale, multi-datacenter infrastructure.
• Hands-on engineering across bare-metal to cloud deployments.
• Experience with PCI-DSS compliance and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate Proxmox-based hypervisor clusters.
• Automate infrastructure with Ansible and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage secrets with HashiCorp Vault and maintain NetBox CMDB accuracy.
• Run self-hosted Kubernetes clusters and container workloads.
• Support 24x7 on-call incident resolution and post-mortems.
• Drive security hardening and audit readiness.
