SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) is a Joint Venture between NXP and TSMC. We offer flexible and cost-effective semiconductor fabrication solutions by maintaining fully equipped SMIF cleanroom environment, 100% equipment automation and proven wafer-manufacturing processes.

We're searching for a Principal Engineer to be part of our IT Department diverse team of talent. You will be responsible to project management, Engineering Analytic Systems Software development, Design and Support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex software projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
• Architect, build, and maintain scalable data lakehouse solutions using modern data platforms.
• Design, develop, and implement AI / ML models, including generative AI, for business optimization and smart analytics.
• Demonstrate effective crisis management skills, resolving critical issues under tight timelines and high-pressure situations
• Mentor and manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Promote continuous improvement in processes, tools, and technologies.
• Ensure best practices in software development, deployment, and documentation.
• Provide support for internal IT and external customers as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) will be advantageous.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and project management.
• Proven hands-on experience in building and managing data lakehouse architectures
• Strong proficiency in AI / ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and generative AI technologies.
• Experience with CI / CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo).
• Familiarity with engineering data analytic such as APC, SPC, FDC or yield management systems and manufacturing systems, industrial automation, or smart factory environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and crisis management skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven people management and leadership capabilities.
