Job summary

OneByZero PTE. LTD. seeks a Principal Software Development Engineer I to lead architecture and engineering direction across multiple engagements. You will define platform architectures for enterprise AI systems in regulated settings and elevate engineering capabilities across the firm.

You will mentor senior engineers, drive strategic technology choices, and champion scalable, secure production systems with strong AWS foundations across Southeast Asia and beyond.

Qualifications

• 12 to 18 years of experience delivering and architecting production software at scale.
• Recognized depth in system design, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture.
• Extensive AWS expertise, including security, networking, and enterprise deployment patterns.
• Track record setting technical direction across multiple teams or a business line.
• Experience in regulated industries (financial services, telco, insurance) is strongly valued.
• Strong influence, communication, and stakeholder leadership skills.
• Continued hands-on engineering credibility.

The Role

The Principal Software Development Engineer I is a senior technical leader who setsarchitecture and engineering direction across multiple teams and engagements.The Principal SDE I tackles OBZ's most complex technical challenges, defines platform and solution architectures for enterprise AI systems in regulated environments, and elevates engineering capability across the firm.

Travel and Location

Strong communication skills are important for collaboration across engineering teams, delivery teams, and enterprise stakeholders.Local language proficiency is considered an advantage, particularly in Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Certifications

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional certifications are strongly valued.
