Job summary

Search Staffing Pte Ltd is seeking a Principal / Senior IC Architect Engineer for the automotive semiconductor sector in Singapore. The role focuses on owning the architecture of next-generation silicon products, balancing performance, power, area and cost to meet real-world product needs.

You will translate requirements into specs, explore trade-offs via modeling and simulations, and produce architecture documents for SoCs, processors, and graphics engines.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• Strong track record in chip or micro-architecture work, or equivalent experience in a senior IC design capacity.
• Solid grounding in computer architecture fundamentals — processors, graphics engines, memory hierarchies, interconnects and coherency.
• Familiarity with performance modeling and analysis tooling
• A good working knowledge of how software and hardware interact
• Comfort scripting in Python, C++ or similar, for modeling and analysis work
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the confidence to guide technical discussions across teams
• A creative, structured approach to solving complex, multi-faceted engineering problems

Responsibilities

As part of their continued expansion, they are looking for an experienced IC Architect to help shape the direction of their upcoming silicon products.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you'll take ownership of the architecture behind next-generation semiconductor products, balancing performance, power, area and cost to deliver designs that meet real-world product needs. You'll:

• Partner with product management and customer-facing teams to translate business and product requirements into concrete technical specifications
• Explore architectural trade-offs through high-level modeling and simulation, shaping the optimal micro-architecture for each product
• Produce detailed architecture specifications covering SoCs, processors, graphics engines, or other complex IP blocks
• Act as a technical anchor for design and verification teams across the full product lifecycle, offering guidance and direction
• Track emerging technologies and industry direction, feeding insights back into the roadmap
• Work closely with hardware, software and systems teams to keep the overall architecture coherent end to end
• Put together and present technical proposals and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
