You will oversee medication orders, safety initiatives and staff development to deliver excellent patient care.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacy degree from an accredited college.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant hospital experience.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of medication orders, including verification, preparation and supply of medications
  • Monitor and manage discharge medication process to minimize delays and enhance patient satisfaction
  • Implement and review workflows to improve operational efficiency and reduce errors
  • Develop and manage staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts
  • Monitor workload distribution and adjust staffing as needed
  • Mentor and supervise pharmacy staff to ensure performance and adherence to workflows
  • Coordinate operational training for new staff and ensure ongoing development of all pharmacists

  • Ensure sufficient stock level of medications in inpatient areas
  • Oversee the implementation and efficient use of inpatient pharmacy system such as automated dispensing cabinets (ADC)
  • Investigate medication-related incidents and implement corrective and preventive measures
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss challenges, share updates, and promote positive work cultures.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance patient’s experience, such as patient education
  • Regularly review patient’s feedback and address areas for improvement
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience preferred, preferably within a medical institution or hospital.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment, quick thinker and an effective problem solver. Calm, decisive, and resilient in high-pressure situations.
  • Attention to detail, ability to prioritise workload, be well organised and multi-task in a smart and timely fashion.
  • Possess strong analytical, communication, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, in a team and across teams with minimal supervision.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop strong working relationship at various levels.
  • Proactive attitude and determination to ensure required outcomes are achieved and takes responsibility.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and nurture the team to meet institutional goals.
  • Tech-savvy with an ability to learn new software and other relevant programs.
