Job summary

Venture is seeking a Principal Engineer, R&D (Mechanical) in Singapore, based at our HQ in Ang Mo Kio. You will develop and deliver a wide range of state-of-the-art products for global markets, from invention to mass production.

The role requires advanced mechanical design experience, strong CAD skills, and the ability to work with customers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers through the product lifecycle. Overseas attachment may be required.

Qualifications

• Masters/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge and experience in mechanism or automation design are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand the SOW.
• Supervise Engineers to improve design quality.
• Design mechanical parts (plastic, sheetmetal and rubber).
• Design electro-mechanical subsystems, micro-mechanisms and transmission systems.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and suppliers through the product cycle.
• Coordinate prototype and pilot run articles.
• Review and evaluate vendors for performance.
• Lead project discussions as required.
• Troubleshoot, analyse and provide solutions for technical problems faced during development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Company

We’re looking to add a Principal Engineer, R&D (Mechanical) in Singapore. The position is based in our HQ at Ang Mo Kio.

As a Principal Engineer, R&D (Mechanical), you will be:

Responsible for the development and delivery of a wide range of state-of-the-art products for global markets, from invention to mass production.

• To engage positively and closely with customers to understand the Scope of Work (SOW).
• Provide supervision and guidance to fellow Engineers for better quality design.
• Perform mechanical parts design, including plastic, sheetmetal and rubber parts.
• Perform design of electro-mechanical subsystems, micro-mechanisms and transmission systems.
• Work with the Manufacturing team and part suppliers throughout the product cycle in a fast-paced environment.
• Coordinate construction of prototype and pilot run articles.
• Review and evaluate vendors for performance.
• Lead project discussions as and when required.
• Troubleshoot, analyse and provide solutions for technical problems faced during development
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company

Requirements

• Masters/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience in mechanism or automation design are preferred.
• Knowledge and design experience in plastic, sheetmetal and rubber parts will be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge and experience in mechanism or automation design are preferred.
