Job summary

Venture Corporation, headquartered in Singapore, is seeking an Engineer, R&D (Mechanical) to join its HQ in Ang Mo Kio. You will design mechanical components and electro-mechanical subsystems, and support product development from concept to prototype.

You will apply DFSS/DFMA, perform FMEA and thermal analyses, manage BOMs and drawings, and collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to optimize cost and manufacturability. Occasional overseas travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics.
• 3–5 years in R&D and new product development.
• Proficient in SolidWorks.
• Experience with plastic molding, sheet metal, machining.
• GD&T and tolerance stack-up knowledge.
• Familiarity with ISO13485 desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel overseas occasionally.
• DFMEA, DOE, RCA experience.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and electro-mechanical subsystems.
• Perform FMEA, thermal management, and validation against specs.
• Plan fabrication, assembly, and evaluation builds for prototypes.
• Apply DFSS/DFMA to optimize production and cost.
• Create and manage BOM and 2D/3D drawings.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and support manufacturability.
• Collaborate with internal manufacturing and external suppliers.
• Provide design changes updates to clients and obtain approvals.
• Assist leadership with technology roadmaps.
• Take on additional engineering duties as needed.
