Job summary
Energy Market Authority in Singapore seeks an experienced engineer to lead benchmarking and safety analysis for advanced nuclear energy concepts. You will evaluate feasibility, reliability, and safety profiles to benchmark designs against international standards.
You will collaborate with international partners, develop hazard models, and support the creation of safety cases while guiding technical governance and standards adoption.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nuclear, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or other relevant engineering fields.
- 8–10 years of engineering experience in high-complexity environments (Power Utilities, Aerospace, Oil & Gas, or Chemicals).
- Familiarity with international nuclear standards (IAEA SSR-2/1) and advanced risk assessment tools (HAZID/HAZOP, LOPA).
- Experience with international codes (ASME, EN/ISO, etc).
- Experience with deterministic, probabilistic, quantitative safety assessments and methodology.
Responsibilities
- Engineering Benchmarking & Technical Modelling: build specialised expertise in advanced thermal-hydraulic systems, core physics, and material behaviour.
- Safety Case & Risk Management: hazard modelling and development of safety cases.
- Strategic Technical Partnerships: coordinate with international engineering consultants and research organisations.
