Job summary

PACC Offshore Services Holdings Limited is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead and develop marine/offshore structural designs in line with Class and technical specifications. The role emphasizes delivering robust drawings and documentation on schedule, coordinating with owners and classification societies, and guiding the design from concept through approval.

Candidates should have 10+ years in marine/offshore structure design, with expertise in AutoCAD, AVEVA, and FEMAP, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry with structure newbuilding engineering design.
• Familiar with AutoCAD/Microsoft Office/AVEVA/FEMAP and good communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop structural design to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within assigned schedule.
• Deliver project design drawings and documents according to project plan schedule; shall take on project lead role.
• Review external designer’s pre-contract technical specifications, general arrangement and drawing lists.
• Liaise with Owner and Classification Society for the specific design requirement compliance, review, and approval.
• Review external designer’s pre-contract technical specifications, general arrangement and drawing lists.
• Performing FE analysis using FEMAP is an advantage.
• Review project team members drawings, calculations or documents prior submission.
• Perform structural calculation, rudder calculation and design.
• Prepares sourcing technical specifications for fittings related to structure (special material/construction, rudder, etc.)
• Coordinates with detail designer / production designer and checks their processes and output.
• Communicate with the person in charge of production on trouble shooting and visiting on-site if needed
