Engineers in this category are expected to be highly independent, efficient and recognized as the site electrical subject matter expert (SME). They are competent in electrical engineering (including HV/LV distribution), automation and control system interfaces, project management and reliability engineering.They coach and develop a team of technicians responsible for the safe, reliable and compliant operation and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and processes. Their focus is to minimize downtime and ensure that system and equipment performance comply with cGMP, EHS and Good Engineering Practice (GEP) requirements, operating at optimal condition to meet Engineering and business expectations.These engineers oversee the work of teams. They are expected to coach and develop others, share accountability and collaborate effectively across functions to drive continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesThis role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:Champion environmental, health and safety compliance across all electrical operations, conducting risk assessments and promoting a strong culture of safety and operational discipline.Lead commissioning, maintenance and optimization of electrical systems from Low Voltage to 22KV, including emergency generators, Dynamic UPS and advanced power quality equipment.Provide expert-level support for complex operational issues and lead structured root cause investigations using problem-solving methodologies.Oversee electrical capacity planning, system performance analysis and execution of expansion projects to support site growth and production demands.Review and validate scope, schedule and cost estimates for infrastructure upgrades, ensuring robust engineering justification and alignment with business needs.Provide engineering oversight and technical guidance during design, construction and commissioning phases, ensuring safe, reliable and compliant solutions.Conduct risk assessments and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to eliminate single points of failure and enhance overall system resilience.Mentor and develop electrical engineers and technicians through structured training programs, coaching and hands-on site engagement.Lead post-incident reviews and drive effective corrective and preventive actions for electrical system abnormalities and events.Drive strategic initiatives focused on system capacity expansion, reliability improvement and energy efficiency for critical electrical infrastructure.Spearhead the deployment of advanced power quality solutions, predictive diagnostics and digital tools to improve team productivity and system intelligence.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement AI- and data-driven solutions that enhance operational performance and reliability.Promote continuous improvement through the adoption of digital tools, automation and data-driven decision-making practices in electrical operations.
