GlaxoSmithKline Pte Ltd in Singapore offers an Environment, Health & Safety internship within our Vaccines Business Area for 2027. You will support EHS activities on live projects, learn from experts, and gain hands-on experience in a global biopharma setting.
The program is open to SG university students enrolled full-time, with a degree focus in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or Chemistry, and requires fluent English.
Education required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
Other requirements:Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship
Language requirement:Written and spoken fluency in English
Internship period: January 2027 to June 2027 (based on your school's internship period)

Manage administration of all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)-related Training including materials and schedule
Provide EHS support to the site and provideaccurateand where necessary, consistent professional advice that enables them to manage and improve their EHS performance
Work with Operations to ensure Workplace Risk Assessmentsare suitable, sufficient, meets necessary standard and updated
Reinforce and promote improvements to the site’s safety culture
Conduct office and site inspections, support problem solving,root cause analyses, and implementation of corrective andpreventive actions to rectify issues within agreed timelines
Assistin areas with inspections to get a consistent approach across site, coaching site-based representatives in EHS, increasing their EHS capabilities, and competence to effectively manage the environment
Providing administration support to the team and supporting the Site EHS Lead
Collate data for presentation and escalation at Site EHS Council and EHS Committee
Understand and manage the EHS Operations which includes
engineering principles,complianceandday to dayoperational challenges.
Understand risk management principles including identification and mitigation.
Improve your influencing skills.
Understandprinciplesof project management.
Knowledge in technical EHS would beadvantageous
Proficient in use of IT and Microsoft Officesoftwares
Strong written and oral communication skills
Deadline-driven, flexible with self-reliance to work in an empowered environment
Awareness and ability to work within culturally diverse teams
Demonstrated ability to take initiative,thinkand workindependently, and problem-solve
Strong drive for performance and attention to details
