The program is open to SG university students enrolled full-time, with a degree focus in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or Chemistry, and requires fluent English.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship.
  • Written and spoken fluency in English.
  • Knowledge in technical EHS would be advantageous.
  • Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office software.
  • Deadline-driven and able to work in an empowered environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage administration of all EHS-related Training including materials and schedule.
  • Provide EHS support to the site and offer professional advice to improve EHS performance.
  • Work with Operations to ensure Workplace Risk Assessments are suitable and updated.
  • Reinforce and promote improvements to the site’s safety culture.
  • Conduct office and site inspections, support problem solving and corrective actions.
  • Assist in areas with inspections to promote a consistent approach across the site.
  • Provide administrative support to the team and Site EHS Lead.
  • Collate data for presentation and escalation at EHS Council and Committee.
  • Understand and manage EHS Operations including risk management and project management principles.

Education required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline.

What will you do?
  • Manage administration of all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)-related Training including materials and schedule

  • Provide EHS support to the site and provideaccurateand where necessary, consistent professional advice that enables them to manage and improve their EHS performance

  • Work with Operations to ensure Workplace Risk Assessmentsare suitable, sufficient, meets necessary standard and updated

  • Reinforce and promote improvements to the site’s safety culture

  • Conduct office and site inspections, support problem solving,root cause analyses, and implementation of corrective andpreventive actions to rectify issues within agreed timelines

  • Assistin areas with inspections to get a consistent approach across site, coaching site-based representatives in EHS, increasing their EHS capabilities, and competence to effectively manage the environment

  • Providing administration support to the team and supporting the Site EHS Lead

  • Collate data for presentation and escalation at Site EHS Council and EHS Committee
