Job summary

PaxOcean is seeking an Engineering Project Electrical Section Lead to drive overall electrical engineering activities for marine/offshore projects. You will provide technical guidance to draftsmen, engineers, and site teams, ensuring tasks are completed on time with high accuracy and resolving on-site electrical issues.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in power, automation, and navigation systems, plus experience with AutoCAD, AVEVA and related standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical design for marine/offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of power, automation and navigation systems.
• Familiar with rules and regulations governing offshore electrical work.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and AVEVA software.
• Good communication and analytical skills; team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with marine/offshore electrical processes.
• Review and develop Equipment Technical Specifications based on requirements and standards.
• Prepare drawings: single line diagrams, equipment layouts, termination drawings.
• Plan cable routing and build 3D models.
• Prepare Cable Cutting List and schedule.
• Provide site technical support for issues arising on site.
• Assist Section Project Lead in day-to-day operations.
• Review and advise the project's design modes and standards.
• Coordinate with shipyard, consultants and vendors; manage project scope.

Job Summary

• As Engineering Project Electrical Section Lead to roll the overall electrical engineering activities,
• To provide technical guidance to fellow Draftsman, Senior/ Assistant Engineer for competencies development.
• To complete assigned tasks within allocated timeline with high degree of accuracy.
• Technical support for site technical issue.

Key Responsibilities

• Familiar with the Marine and offshore engineering process.
• Review and develop the Equipment Technical Specification based on Owner’s Contractual Requirement, Classification bodies, and all relevant authorities.
• Prepare the engineering drawings of each system( Single line diagram/ equipment layout/ termination drawing)
• Plan the cable routing and build the 3D modeling
• Prepare the Cable cutting List/ Schedule
• Provide technical support for site arises technical issue.
• Assist Section Project Lead in day to day operations.
• Review and advise the project’s design mode & standard
• Familiar with Class regulation/rules, product, standard
• Report the project daily discipline (Man-hour/Schedule etc.)
• Feedback for profession’s design mode & standard
• Study & Solve the project issues under Electrical responsibility
• Attend and report in project and section meeting
• Coordinate with Shipyard /Consultant / Vendor
• Project Handling- New building project, Repair, Upgrading, Conversion project
• Any others assigned.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in the Electrical newbuilding design in the Marine / Offshore industry.
• Full of the knowledge of Power system/ Automation system/ Navigation system.
• Familiar with Rules and Regulation.
• Familiar with Auto-CAD/ Microsoft Office/AVEVA.
• Good communication and analytical skills.
• Good teamworking spirit.
