Job summary

K2 STRATEGIC seeks an Assistant Project Manager (Electrical) to support external design team management and design review for APAC data centre projects. You will work with SG HQ PM to handle daily design issues across the region.

The role requires strong electrical engineering knowledge, site delivery experience, and ability to coordinate with consultants. Singapore-based posting with on-site responsibilities in dynamic data-centre environments.

Qualifications

• 6 years’ minimum working experience in building services design and construction project delivery.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer preferred.
• Relevant uptime/TIA certificates preferred.
• Good knowledge in Electrical HV/LV distribution engineering for data centres.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager or Site Delivery Manager in data centre design and construction phases for site management and construction quality control.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure the data centre facility is built to group standards.
• Review and approve design consultants’ work with necessary engineering calculations.
• Communicate with design consultants to ensure deliverables are achieved.
• Maintain K2 internal engineering standards with focus on HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Support project commissioning and final handover activities.
• Support internal engineering design and development activities.
• Establish engineering and operation procedures following K2 standards.

This person will be working closely with SG HQ based PM to handle the daily design related issues for existing and future projects in APAC region.

This person will be working closely with SG HQ based PM to handle the daily design related issues for existing and future projects in APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager or Site Delivery Manager in data centre design and construction phases for site management and construction quality control.
• Monitor construction activities closely on a regular basis and ensure the data centre facility is built to group's standard.
• Responsible for the review and approval of design consultant’s work to ensure design documents are sufficiently developed with all necessary engineering calculations in place.
• Responsible for communicating with design consultants to ensure all required deliverables are achieved.
• Responsible for maintaining K2 internal engineering standard with particular focus on HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Support project commissioning and final handover activities.
• Support of K2 internal engineering design and development activities.
• Establish engineering and operation procedures following K2 standard.

Key Requirements

• 6 years’ minimum working experience in building services design and construction project delivery (data centre projects preferred).
• Bachelor’s in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
• Chartered Engineer preferred
• Relevant Uptime/TIA certificates preferred
• Good knowledge in Electrical HV/LV distribution Engineering with a good understanding on data centre project and protection study
• Proficiency in MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) with experience in Mechanical HVAC software, such as IES.
• Good command of written and spoken English is required. Additional language skills such as Chinese and/or Bahasa Indonesia/Malaysia will be preferred.
• Candidates who are active, initiative, conscientious, sociable, flexible and optimistic.
