Job summary

K2 STRATEGIC, Singapore, is seeking a Graduate Engineer/Mechanical Engineer to support the internal design team and participate in design reviews for APAC projects. The role collaborates with SG HQ’s Project Management team to tackle daily design issues across the APAC region.

The candidate will assist in design and construction phases, review technical documents, and uphold engineering standards, with an emphasis on data centre facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or equivalent, or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Electrical HV/LV distribution engineering; data centre projects preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and calculation software such as Etap, IES, E20.
• Strong English communication; proactive and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Assistant Project Manager or Site Delivery Manager in data centre design and construction phases for site management and construction quality control.
• Monitor construction activities regularly and ensure the data centre facility is built to group standards.
• Review design consultant’s work to ensure documents include necessary engineering calculations.
• Maintain K2 internal engineering standards with focus on HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Support project commissioning and final handover activities.

The role is based in Sinagpore working closely with SG HQ based Project Management team to handle the daily design related issues for existing and future projects in APAC region.

The role is based in Sinagpore working closely with SG HQ based Project Management team to handle the daily design related issues for existing and future projects in APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Assistant Project Manager or Site Delivery Manager in data centre design and construction phases for site management and construction quality control.


• Help to monitor construction activities closely on a regular basis and ensure the data centre facility is built to group's standard.


• Help to review design consultant’s work to ensure design documents are sufficiently developed with all necessary engineering calculations in place.


• Help to maintain K2 internal engineering standard with particular focus on HVAC and plumbing systems.


• Help Assistant Project Manager in works related to project commissioning and final handover activities.


• Help Assistant Project Manager in K2 internal engineering design and development activities.


• Help to uphold the engineering and operation procedures following K2 standard.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering OR 1 year of working experience in mechanical building services design and construction project delivery (data centre projects preferred).


• Good knowledge in Electrical HV/LV distribution Engineering with interest in understanding on data centre project and protection study preferred


• Proficiency in MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) with experience in Electrical or Mechanical calculation software, such as Etap, IES, E20


• Good command of written and spoken English is required.
