Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Design Director (FOS) to lead design management and technical delivery for large-scale industrial developments in Singapore. You will steer design strategy, governance, and delivery across civil, structural, architectural, MEP, process, and specialist disciplines.

You will drive interfaces with clients and contractors, oversee design reviews, risk management, and value engineering, and mentor teams from concept through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• 15–20 years of design, engineering, and delivery experience.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams on major capital projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing capabilities.
• Experience in EPC/EPCM environments.
• Experience in pharma, industrial manufacturing, chemical processing, semiconductor, or data centers.
• Professional registration or chartered status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the overall design strategy, technical governance, and project delivery.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering and design teams across civil, structural, architectural, MEP, process, and specialist disciplines.
• Coordinate design interfaces between clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Drive design reviews, constructability assessments, and value engineering initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, statutory regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Support project planning, execution strategies, and risk management activities.
• Provide technical leadership during construction and commissioning phases.
• Mentor and develop engineering and design teams.
