Job summary

Woodgrove Primary School in Singapore invites a qualified ICT teacher under a 12-month contract from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027. The role requires delivering ICT lessons and supporting school ICT initiatives.

You will teach Primary 1 to 6 ICT, including touch typing in English, Chinese and Tamil, video editing, Canva, and coding basics, while managing resources and assisting with e-learning environments. Applicants with primary school teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in IT-related discipline.
• Strong written and spoken English to deliver lessons and communicate with students and staff.
• Good teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in photography, videography and video editing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic coding skills to teach students and support ICT programmes.
• Relevant teaching or training experience in a primary school environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach staff and students to use Web 2.0 tools on tablets and laptops, and support ICT implementation.
• Deliver Primary 1 to 6 ICT lessons covering touch typing in English, Chinese and Tamil; e-books; Word and Google Docs; video puppetry; PPT and Google Slides; animation and stop motion; digital search and literacy; Excel and Sheets; photo and video editing; Procreate; Canva; and coding.
• Conduct Digital Media Club and Robotics CCA lessons according to weekly plans.
• Work with teachers to develop lesson resources and assessments, plan and run ICT training, and support a positive e-learning environment.
• Support ICT administration, asset management, procurement and stocktaking, and manage computer laboratory bookings.
• Set up and manage ICT equipment and tools for school operations including recording, surveys, and parent–teacher meetings.
• Create survey platforms and results, presentations and posters; support events and competitions with montages, music and video editing, photography and video production.
• Design and print ICT certificates for trained students and perform other duties assigned by School Leaders and designated ICT staff.
• If Chinese or Tamil touch-typing modules are required, arrange a replacement trainer if needed.
