Pricing Analyst

Full‑Time, Singapore

We are looking for a Pricing Analyst to develop expertise in commodity trading and price assessments, and support the team in producing prices and benchmarks in line with company methodology.

About the Role

Reporting to the VP, Asia the Pricing Analyst will:

• Complete daily assessment of assigned commodity market(s), including examining the integrity of the underlying data used for assessment and ensuring correct methodology is applied to produce published indexes.
• Stay informed of market developments that could impact pricing or require updating/amending underlying methodology for pricing assigned market(s).
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with traders/brokers and other relevant market participants.
• Research and analyze important market trends that impact prices through the use of in‑house data, analytics tools and contact with market.
• Actively source additional data to underpin current and future GX indexes.
• Partner with the commercial team to “socialise” GX data in the market and encourage its adoption/utilisation.
• Work closely with colleagues across teams to identify opportunities for new indexes or enhancements to existing ones.
• Contribute ideas that help shape the future of GX’s product offering.
• Develop and integrate AI into daily workflows to optimise efficiencies.

About You

• A BA/BS is required, with preference for academic subjects grounded in logic and analytical expression.
• Comfortable sourcing and building relationships with data providers.
• Solution driven, naturally curious, possess a high level of numerical ability, and are proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Accuracy and attention to detail are exceptional.
• Clear communicator with confidence and ability to present and articulate a topic clearly.
• An interest in commodities, with a strong desire to learn more about the mechanics of pricing.
• Committed to consistently demonstrate professionalism with colleagues, customers, data providers, and the public to positively represent GX.
