Job summary

OpenAI is hiring for a Support Engineering role based in Singapore. You will work with Premium Support customers, using deep technical investigation to isolate causes and drive resolution.

You will own incidents, coordinate with Engineering and Product, and help build resilient workloads through runbooks and automation. You’ll operate in a hybrid model with on-site days and relocation assistance for new hires, leveraging your expertise across APIs, distributed systems, and internal tooling to

Qualifications

• Experience in diagnosing complex production issues across distributed systems and APIs.
• Ability to own incidents end-to-end, from triage to root cause and remediation.
• Clear communication with engineers, stakeholders, and customers under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex issues for Premium Support customers using logs, telemetry, and repro steps.
• Own the customer-specific response during high-impact incidents and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Provide clear, evidence-backed updates to customers and internal partners during incidents and postmortems.
• Develop runbooks and automation to prevent recurrence and improve support readiness.
