Job summary

SG Roller Shutters PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a skilled welder to join our manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, set up MIG, TIG and arc welders, and produce welds that meet exacting specifications.

You will weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions, prepare materials, inspect finished welds, maintain equipment, and follow strict safety protocols. Team collaboration is essential to complete projects on schedule. Experience with metal fabrication and quality control is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
• Ability to prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces.
• Capable of welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and arc welders.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces.
• Perform welding operations in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead) as needed.
• Inspect completed welds for accuracy and quality, ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools, performing routine maintenance as required.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
