Precast Engineer (Building Construction / HDB)

Salary: S$4,500 – S$6,000 per month

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Precast Engineers to support the planning, coordination, production, delivery and installation of precast elements for building construction projects.

The successful candidates will work closely with precast suppliers, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to coordinate precast works from design and shop drawing submissions through production, delivery, erection and inspection.

Relevant experience in HDB or large-scale residential precast construction projects will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Precast Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate precast design, technical requirements and shop drawing submissions.
• Review precast element details, dimensions, connections and interfaces with other structural works.
• Coordinate with consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and project teams on precast-related matters.
• Plan precast casting and production schedules with suppliers according to project requirements.
• Coordinate precast delivery sequences with the overall site construction programme.
• Monitor precast production, delivery and installation progress.

Site Installation & Technical Coordination

• Coordinate and monitor precast installation and erection activities on site.
• Coordinate lifting and crane-related activities with relevant site teams in accordance with approved work procedures.
• Ensure precast elements are installed according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Monitor precast tolerances and ensure compliance with applicable project specifications.
• Identify and resolve precast installation, connection and interface issues.
• Coordinate precast works with structural, architectural and other relevant disciplines.

Quality & Inspection

• Coordinate inspections and quality checks for precast elements and installation works.
• Monitor workmanship and follow up on defects or non-conformance issues where required.
• Verify that precast elements meet approved drawings and quality requirements.
• Support rectification and corrective actions where necessary.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare technical reports, method statements and relevant precast documentation.
• Maintain records of precast production, delivery and installation progress.
• Monitor productivity and progress of precast erection works.
• Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and relevant project stakeholders.
• Perform other relevant duties assigned in support of project delivery.

  Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Relevant experience as a Precast Engineer or in precast coordination within the building construction industry.
  • Experience in HDB or similar large-scale residential precast construction projects will be highly advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of precast construction methods, element connections, tolerances and installation processes.
  • Able to read and interpret structural drawings, precast shop drawings and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with precast production, delivery planning and site erection activities.
  • Good understanding of construction quality and site coordination requirements.
  • Strong technical coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to coordinate effectively with consultants, precast suppliers, subcontractors and site teams.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet project schedules.
