Job summary

Genome Institute of Singapore, A*STAR invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scientist (PhD) to develop next-generation DNA and RNA editing technologies. You will join a team tackling CRISPR-Cas, insertion sequences, and polymerase engineering, exploring enzyme mining, protein engineering, functional genomics, and editor delivery in cells and animals.

Collaborating with clinicians, you will help build novel editors to correct disease mutations, aligning with GI Singapore’s research priorities

Qualifications

• Experience in molecular biology and gene editing.
• Experience with cell culture and high-throughput assays.
• Experience with Illumina and ONT sequencing preferred.
• Computational biology background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop DNA/RNA editing technologies within CRISPR-Cas and related areas.
• Engage in enzyme mining and design, protein and nucleic acid engineering.
• Contribute to functional genomics, editor delivery in cells and animals, and synthetic genomes.
