Job summary

Procter & Gamble seeks an exceptional scientist for a 2-year Postdoc program in Singapore, focused on skin and scalp biology. The project combines advanced biology, AI‑enabled discovery, and cross‑functional mentorship to uncover mechanisms underlying health and aging of skin and scalp.

The launch of the Skin Bioscience Discovery Accelerator (SBDA) at the P&G Singapore Innovation Center represents a bold commitment to seize this opportunity and shape the future of skin and scalp science. Combining world‑class bioscience, advanced experimental systems, multimodal data, computational biology, and AI‑enabled discovery, the Accelerator aims to create a fundamentally new engine for innovation in skin and scalp health.

This 2‑year Postdoc position will explore how skin and scalp function as adaptive biological systems that maintain health, resilience, and visible performance throughout life. By combining advanced biology and AI‑enabled discovery, the program seeks to uncover the fundamental mechanisms that govern how these systems evolve from infancy through healthy aging. This is a unique opportunity to pioneer a new understanding of skin and scalp across the human healthspan.

Key Responsibilities

• Pioneer new scientific frameworks and discovery approaches to advance understanding of biological performance, resilience, regeneration, and health across the lifespan.
• Design and execute high-impact research programs leveraging advanced biology, human‑relevant experimental systems, multimodal data, and AI‑enabled discovery.
• Work alongside P&G Research Fellows and global scientific leaders to shape scientific strategy and accelerate breakthrough discovery.
• Operate within a Design‑Build‑Test‑Learn discovery environment, integrating experiments, computational approaches, and emerging technologies to drive continuous learning.

Job Qualifications

• PhD in Skin Biology, Systems Biology, Dermatology, Cell Biology, Regenerative Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Computational Biology, or a related discipline.
• Scientists currently completing, or having recently completed, a postdoctoral appointment in a relevant field are also encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated research excellence through high-quality publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
• Strong expertise in one or more relevant biological domains, including:
  • Skin biology, biochemistry, and physiology
  • Barrier biology
  • Epithelial tissue biology
  • Inflammation and immune regulation
  • Aging biology and longevity
  • Wound healing and tissue repair
  • Extracellular matrix and dermal biology
  • Regenerative medicine
• Hands‑on experience with advanced experimental techniques and biological model systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advanced imaging technologies and image analysis.
• Experience generating and interpreting multi‑omics datasets.
• Familiarity with computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, machine learning, or AI‑enabled biological discovery.
• Experience working with complex biological systems and systems‑level approaches to understanding health and disease.
• Experience developing, applying, or interpreting advanced in vitro, ex vivo, or engineered tissue biological models.
• Experience integrating biological, imaging, and computational datasets to generate mechanistic insights powered by AI.
• Knowledge of skin aging, barrier dysfunction, inflammation, or visible skin health.
