Job summary

Public Service Division is seeking an experienced Platform Operations and Security Engineer to design, build, secure, and operate the Enterprise Data & AI platform in Singapore on a 2-year contract. You will configure Databricks workspaces, automate provisioning with Terraform, govern CI/CD for ETL/ML, monitor costs, and ensure uptime.

This role requires strong security controls and RBAC/ABAC enforcement, logs monitoring for compliance, and collaboration with data engineers, governance leads,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in cloud platform engineering or security engineering.
• Experience securing large-scale data or ML platforms.
• Prior work in regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain the Enterprise Data and AI platform (Databricks workspaces, clusters, SQL warehouses, endpoints).
• Automate provisioning and deployments using Terraform, Databricks CLI, or APIs.
• Design and govern CI/CD for ETL/ML deployments with secure, automated delivery.
• Monitor usage, cost trends, and optimize performance of workloads.
• Maintain platform reliability to meet uptime and SLAs.
• Implement security controls including encryption, secrets management, and access patterns.
• Enforce RBAC and ABAC across data assets and cloud compute resources.
• Monitor audit logs to detect policy violations and compliance risks.
• Ensure operations align with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements (IM8, NIST, GDPR, PDPA).
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Governance Leads and Analysts to ensure pipelines meet standards.
• Integrate monitoring and alerting into the observability stack.
• Advise leadership on platform performance, security posture, and optimization opportunities.
