Job summary

Tangspac Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Application Support/Operations engineer in Singapore to build and support multi-environment stacks across development, SIT, UAT, and mock runs. You will monitor health, capacity, and batch processes to ensure high availability and will manage Linux/Unix systems.

Responsibilities include automation development using Python/Java, script writing, and API interactions, plus incident management, releases, deployments, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in application support, middleware support, system administration, or related tech roles.
• Experience in banking, cards, and payment systems is preferred.
• Experience with Cardlink, VisionPLUS, or similar card processing platforms is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, preferably RHEL.
• Experience supporting open systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python, shell scripting, REST APIs, and Git.
• Experience with containers, cloud technologies, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
• Good understanding of web/application servers, APIs, middleware, and distributed apps.
• Working knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, and/or PostgreSQL databases, including SQL troubleshooting.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS certificates, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, mock run, release implementation, and deployment validation.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and log analysis tools such as Geneos and Splunk.
• Experience in incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support.

• Monitor system health, performance, capacity, interfaces, and batch processing to ensure high availability.
• Administer and support Linux/Unix environments.
• Develop automation solutions using Python, Java, shell scripting, and APIs.
• Manage environments, configurations, upgrades, patching, and certificate changes.
• Drive operational excellence through automation, standardisation, and improvements.
• Troubleshoot application, middleware, database, network, and infrastructure issues.
• Support testing, releases, change implementations, and production assurance activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and support knowledge repositories.
