Job summary

Ascendion in Singapore is seeking an experienced Platform Operations Lead to own a production environment spanning Kubernetes, Linux/RHEL, middleware and infrastructure services. This hands-on leadership role guides a team of 4-6 engineers while staying actively involved in platform operations.

You will lead incident management, patching, hardening, lifecycle activities and cross‑team collaboration to ensure service reliability, security and compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of infrastructure/platform operations experience.
• Production Kubernetes/container platforms experience.
• Solid Linux administration experience (RHEL).
• OS patching, hardening and lifecycle management experience.
• Experience managing production incidents and RCA.
• Experience with Nutanix/VMware/Azure Stack or similar.
• Troubleshooting across networking, firewalls and load balancers.
• Experience mentoring/infrastructure teams and handling security/change-control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for Kubernetes and container platforms.
• Provide technical leadership to 4-6 infrastructure engineers.
• Manage production incidents, escalations and RCA.
• Plan and execute infrastructure changes, patching, upgrades and lifecycle activities.
• Maintain RHEL/Linux environments, including patching and security hardening.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot enterprise platform components and middleware.

• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity activities.

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of relevant infrastructure, systems or platform operations experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting Kubernetes / container platforms in production.
• Solid Linux administration experience, preferably RHEL.
• Experience with OS patching, hardening and platform lifecycle management.
• Experience managing production incidents, changes and RCA.
• Working knowledge of Nutanix, VMware, Azure Stack or similar enterprise virtualisation/private-cloud platforms.
• Practical troubleshooting experience across networking, firewalls and load balancers.
• Experience providing technical direction, mentoring or coordination within infrastructure/platform teams.
• Experience working in environments with formal security, compliance or change-control requirements.
