Job summary

Ascendion is seeking an experienced Platform Operations Lead to own production environments spanning Kubernetes, Linux/RHEL, middleware, and infrastructure services. You will guide a team of 4–6 engineers while hands-on in operations, troubleshooting, patching and lifecycle management.

You will drive incident response, RCA, changes, and capacity planning, collaborating with multiple teams to ensure service reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of infrastructure/platform operations experience.
• Production experience with Kubernetes/container platforms.
• Experience with OS patching, hardening, and lifecycle management.
• Incident management, changes and root cause analysis.
• Experience with enterprise virtualization/private cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for Kubernetes and container platforms.
• Provide technical leadership to a team of 4–6 infrastructure engineers.
• Manage production incidents, escalations and RCA.
• Plan and execute infrastructure changes, patching, upgrades and lifecycle activities.
• Maintain RHEL/Linux environments with OS patching and security hardening.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot enterprise platform components and middleware.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, network, security and customer teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain monitoring, logging and observability across the platform.
• Support capacity planning, performance optimization and service reliability.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks and architecture documentation.
• Communicate risks, impact and implementation plans to stakeholders.

• This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will guide a team of 4–6 infrastructure engineers while remaining directly involved in platform operations, troubleshooting, patching, hardening and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day operations for Kubernetes and container platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of 4–6 infrastructure engineers.
• Manage production incidents, escalations and root-cause analysis.
• Plan and execute infrastructure changes, patching, upgrades and lifecycle activities.
• Maintain RHEL/Linux environments, including OS patching and security hardening.

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of relevant infrastructure, systems or platform operations experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting Kubernetes / container platforms in production.
• Experience with OS patching, hardening and platform lifecycle management.
• Experience managing production incidents, changes and RCA.
• Working knowledge of Nutanix, VMware, Azure Stack or similar enterprise virtualisation/private-cloud platforms.
• Practical troubleshooting experience across networking, firewalls and load balancers.
• Experience providing technical direction, mentoring or coordination within infrastructure/platform teams.
• Experience working in environments with formal security, compliance or change-control requirements.
