Job summary

NEWTONE CONSULTING PTE. LTD. seeks a Platform Infrastructure Lead to oversee enterprise container platforms and shared infrastructure services. You will lead a team ensuring availability, security, and performance of Kubernetes platforms, middleware, and enterprise COTS applications supporting mission-critical systems.

You will drive platform operations, DR/BCP, upgrades, automation, and runbooks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable services.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in platform engineering, infrastructure, or middleware operations with team leadership.
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, Linux admin, and OS hardening expertise.
• Experience managing enterprise COTS platforms (MongoDB, MSSQL, NGINX, Apache, IBM MQ, MQTT, Kafka).
• Good networking, firewalls, load balancers, monitoring and observability skills.
• Experience with CI/CD, automation (Ansible, scripting), and modern platform operations.
• Strong leadership, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 4–6 infrastructure engineers supporting container platforms and platform services.
• Manage platform operations, incident response, problem management, change implementation, and lifecycle activities.
• Deploy, configure, and support Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, and enterprise COTS products including MongoDB, MSSQL, NGINX, Apache, IBM MQ, MQTT, Kafka.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and integration teams to resolve platform issues and support new services.
• Ensure platform monitoring, logging, documentation, and operational runbooks are maintained.
• Drive platform upgrades, patching, OS hardening, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Lead Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity (BCP), and operational readiness activities.
• Promote automation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the platform environment.

• Strong hands on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, Linux administration, and OS hardening.
• Experience managing enterprise COTS platforms including MongoDB, MSSQL, NGINX, Apache, IM MQ, and messaging technologies.
• Good understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancers, monitoring, and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, eG Enterprise).
• Experience with CI/CD, automation (Ansible, scripting), and modern platform operations.
• Strong leadership, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
