Job summary

Eames Consulting partners with a regional financial services institution to appoint a Head of Platform Engineering & Application Architecture. The role shapes long-term technology strategy and oversees cloud-native platforms across modern stacks to deliver scalable, reliable software in Singapore.

You will drive architecture across Java and Python-based systems, microservices, Kubernetes, and Azure, balancing delivery velocity with regulatory compliance and security.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 15 years of total software engineering experience, including 8 years leading multi-team engineering structures.
• Deep technical familiarity with Java, Python, Microservices, relational databases, Kubernetes, and Azure cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering roadmaps across containerised, microservices-based cloud environments.
• Take ownership of software delivery schedules, balancing feature requests against system stability, security policies, and local regulatory standards.
• Drive modern practices across API management, DevSecOps pipelines, and cloud platform governance.
• Manage engineering managers and technical leads across multiple squads, building a strong culture focused on quality and technical excellence.
