Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking a Platform Engineer to support and enhance its quantitative research and trading technology platform in Singapore. You will contribute across software engineering, data engineering, and cloud infrastructure, collaborating closely with research and investment teams on mission-critical systems.

You will develop internal applications, APIs, and tools for risk monitoring and operational workflows, design data pipelines, manage CI/CD deployments, and ensure reliability,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software or platform engineering experience.
• Expert Python development in production environments.
• Experience building APIs and data-driven services.
• Hands-on data pipelines and orchestration tools.
• Cloud infrastructure experience, preferably Azure or major cloud platforms.
• Linux administration and Docker/containerization experience.
• Understanding of networking, security, and reliability principles.
• Ability to own production systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain research, analytics, and trading platforms used by investment teams.
• Build internal applications, APIs, and tools for risk management, monitoring, and operational workflows.
• Design and support data pipelines, storage solutions, and data processing systems.
• Manage the deployment of research and production systems through CI/CD practices.
• Support cloud infrastructure, including networking, compute, storage, and access management.
• Administer Linux-based environments, containerized applications, and monitoring solutions.
• Enhance platform reliability, scalability, security, and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive technology improvements and platform evolution.
