Responsibilities

About the practice

We are establishing a specialist private practice focused on facial plastic surgery, aesthetic surgery and non-surgical facial rejuvenation .

The practice is designed around a highly coordinated patient journey, from the initial enquiry and consultation through clinical photography, insurance approval, surgical planning, hospital admission, surgery and post-operative follow-up.

The role

We are seeking an experienced, energetic and highly organised Clinic Nurse with strong private-practice experience.

The successful candidate will have an important role throughout the patient's journey, supporting consultations, aesthetic treatments, procedures, surgery coordination and post-operative care while helping ensure that the clinical and administrative aspects of the practice run smoothly.

This is not a narrowly defined nursing position. The successful candidate should be comfortable combining clinical nursing, patient coordination, insurance administration, hospital liaison and day-to-day clinic operations .

The right person will be warm with patients, digitally confident, meticulous, adaptable and resourceful - someone who notices what needs to be done, takes initiative and follows tasks through without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & patient support

• Prepare consultation and treatment rooms, patients, documentation and required equipment before clinics and procedures
• Assist the surgeon during consultations, minor procedures and aesthetic treatments within the appropriate nursing scope
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing support
• Perform wound care, dressing changes and other appropriate post-operative nursing procedures
• Assist with suture removal and post-operative reviews where clinically appropriate
• Take standardised clinical photographs and maintain organised before-and-after image records with appropriate consent and privacy safeguards
• Provide patients with approved pre-operative, procedure and aftercare information
• Support chaperoning, room turnover, infection-control procedures and safe handling of clinical supplies
• Identify and track outstanding clinical actions, investigations, results and patient queries so that important follow-up is not missed
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical documentation

Surgical & patient coordination

• Coordinate consultations, aesthetic treatments, procedures and surgical follow-up appointments
• Support the complete surgical pathway from initial decision for surgery through post-operative review
• Coordinate pre-operative investigations, medical clearances and other requirements before surgery
• Arrange and confirm operating theatre and procedure bookings with private hospitals and day surgery facilities
• Liaise with hospital admissions teams, operating theatres, business offices, anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure that necessary clinical documents, consent forms, investigations and administrative requirements are available before surgery
• Coordinate hospital admission and discharge arrangements where required
• Arrange appropriate post-operative appointments and patient follow-up
• Communicate promptly and professionally with patients by telephone, WhatsApp, messaging platforms and email
• Help provide a discreet, reassuring and efficient experience for patients and accompanying family members

Insurance & financial administration

A significant part of this role involves dealing with insurers and coordinating insured surgical patients.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and following up Letters of Guarantee (LOGs)
• Managing insurance pre-authorisation and pre-certification requests
