A leading engineering training company in Singapore is seeking a trainer to deliver structured training sessions in rigging, welding, and pipe fitting. Candidates must hold valid certifications in CSOC/BCSS or OPSOC/OPSS as well as a lifting supervisor certificate for Rigging & Signaling. Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structured training sessions (classroom and hands-on) in one or more of the above areas
• Guide learners through safe, compliant, and industry-relevant practices
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate training records
• Ensure training tools and equipment are safe and operational
• Provide feedback for continuous course improvement
• Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes

Training Areas & Curriculum Overview

• Rigging & Signalling
• Perform & execute critical lifting operations preparation work
• Reinstate critical lifting operations work area
• Apply codes of practice and regulations in complex rigging/signalling scenarios
• Welding
• Maintain safe working environment and welding equipment
• Set up welding workstations
• Perform SMAW and GTAW on mild steel pipes in 6G position
• Identify and rectify weld defects
• Inspect welded parts for quality and document repair procedures
• Apply safe practices and PPE usage
• Process Pipe Fitting
• Implement safety measures at work site
• Perform pipe fabrication and advanced pipe fitting
• Interpret piping drawings for installation
• Carry out wire shaping, pipe cutting, bending, and support fabrication

Requirements

• Valid certifications in CSOC/ BCSS or OPSOC/OPSS are required
• A valid lifting supervisor certificate is required for Rigging & Signaling trainers
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in the relevant technical field in the Process Industry
• No formal training experience is required
