Job summary

Search Staffing Pte Ltd is seeking a Planning Team Lead for a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing client in Singapore. The role centers on leading demand planning, forecasting, and S&OP across multiple product families to align customer demand with business capacity.

The office is located in Senoko. You will collaborate with Sales, Production Scheduling, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to optimize inventories, schedules and lead times while driving planning performance improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in demand or supply planning in high-mix, low-volume (HMLV), job-shop or ETO manufacturing.
• Understanding of machine shop operations, precision engineering or mechatronics assembly.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Navision, SAP or Baan).
• Strong forecasting, capacity planning, master scheduling and problem-solving.
• Strong communication and collaboration across Sales, Production, Procurement and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Lead Demand Planning & Forecasting – Manage rolling forecasts and S&OP/S&OE cycles across multiple product families.
• Manage Production Planning – Translate orders/forecasts into production schedules and shop-floor priorities.
• Drive Order Fulfilment – Coordinate with Sales and Scheduling to confirm delivery commitments and lead times.
• Optimize Inventory & Material Planning – Set safety stock and planning parameters to support variable demand.
• Monitor & Improve Planning Performance – Track forecast accuracy and risks, drive process improvement.

Job Description

• Lead Demand Planning & Forecasting – Manage rolling forecasts and S&OP/S&OE planning cycles across multiple product families to align customer demand with business capacity.
• Manage Production Planning – Translate customer orders and forecasts into production schedules, master schedules and shop-floor priorities.
• Drive Order Fulfilment – Work closely with Sales and Production Scheduling to confirm delivery commitments and provide accurate lead-time estimates.
• Optimize Inventory & Material Planning – Establish suitable safety stock, inventory buffers and planning parameters to support variable demand and ensure material availability.
• Monitor & Improve Planning Performance – Track forecast accuracy, identify supply and capacity risks, and continuously improve planning processes and methods.

Job Requirements

• At least 5 years of demand or supply planning experience in high-mix, low-volume (HMLV), job-shop or engineer-to-order (ETO) manufacturing environments.
• Manufacturing Knowledge – Good understanding of machine shop operations, precision engineering and/or mechatronics assembly.
• ERP & MRP Expertise – Proficient in ERP systems, with experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision, SAP or Baan preferred, and strong material requirements planning (MRP) knowledge.
• Planning & Analytical Skills – Strong forecasting, capacity planning, master scheduling and problem-solving skills.
• Communication & Collaboration – Confident working across Sales, Production, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to resolve competing priorities and make effective planning decisions.
