Job summary

Penta Ocean Construction in Singapore is seeking a Planning Engineer to develop and update project programmes, coordinate with disciplines and support the Senior Planning Engineer and Planning Manager in planning and execution.

You will manage master schedules, monitor progress, and perform delay analysis with recovery plans, using Primavera P6 and related planning tools while liaising with Construction and Engineering teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Civil / Building projects.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficient in Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Update revisions of the Master Programme/Schedule to include planned work, actual progress, revised activities, revised sequence, additional works and additional time.
• Monitor resources, progress of the works and compile records.
• Prepare the daily, weekly and monthly manpower and equipment report for timely submission to the Client.
• Issue regular progress and planning updates to Construction, Engineering and Contract teams.
• Compile, prepare, submits and maintains the Monthly Progress Report.
• Maintain the Monthly Progress Site Photographs/ Videos for record.
• Carry out analyses of progress and identify delays and their impact.
• Monitor work progress against schedule.
• Prepare recovery programmes.
• Prepare substantiation records and summaries for excusable delays.

Job description

The Planning Engineer develops & updates the Project Programmes, conducts relevant research, data analysis and coordinates with different disciplines to support the Senior Planning Engineer and Planning Manager in the planning and execution of Projects.

Candidate must have good understanding of an overall Project life cycle and it is proficient in the usage of Planning software such as Primavera 6.

Manage and control construction schedule

• Updates revisions of the Master Programme/Schedule and other planning/ control documents to include planned work, actual progress, revised activities, revised sequence, additional works and additional time
• Monitor resources, progress of the works and compile records
