Job summary

Rotary Engineering Private Limited in Singapore is seeking a Planning & Control Manager to lead the planning, scheduling, cost control, and project controls for Oil & Gas or Energy Infrastructure EPC projects.

You will implement master schedules using Primavera P6, track progress against baselines, manage budgets, and provide regular reports to management and clients while mentoring a team of planners.

Qualifications

• Experience with Primavera (P6) or equivalent scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of EPC contract requirements and client reporting standards.
• Experience leading a team of planners/schedulers/project controls engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the overall project master schedule using Primavera (P6) or equivalent tools.
• Ensure integration of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover schedules.
• Monitor progress against baselines, identify critical paths, delays, and recovery plans.
• Establish and maintain project cost control systems, including budgets, forecasts, commitments, and expenditures.
• Track variations, change orders, and their impact on cost and schedule.
• Collaborate with Finance and Contracts to ensure proper budget allocation and control.
• Develop and implement project performance measurement systems (KPI, earned value, dashboards).
• Provide regular progress and variance reports to management, clients, and stakeholders.
• Identify and assess schedule and cost risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
• Lead and mentor a team of planners, schedulers, and project controls engineers.

About the role

The Planning & Control Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, scheduling, and project controls functions for Oil & Gas or Energy Infrastructure EPC project. This role ensures effective project planning, cost control, progress measurement, risk management, and reporting in alignment with contractual, technical, and organizational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the overall project master schedule using Primavera (P6) or equivalent tools
• Ensure integration of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover schedules
• Monitor progress against baselines and identify critical paths, delays, and recovery plans
• Establish and maintain project cost control systems, including budgets, forecasts, commitments, and expenditures
• Track variations, change orders, and their impact on cost and schedule
• Work with Finance and Contracts teams to ensure proper allocation and control of budgets
