Job summary

Singapore Land Authority is seeking an Assistant Manager, Business Planning & Development (Placemaking) to transform State land into meaningful spaces and drive placemaking across SLA’s portfolio. You will foster partnerships and community participation to enhance visitors’ experiences.

You will lead placemaking programming from concept to evaluation, collaborating with state property tenants, government agencies, community groups and private partners to activate spaces and deliver vibrant,

Qualifications

• Qualification in Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Social Sciences, Arts Management, Real Estate or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in placemaking or organising events.
• An interest in placemaking and the ability to think creatively about activating spaces.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑stakeholder projects with competing priorities.
• Creative thinker with an eye for spatial quality and community relevance.
• Experience with project and budget management.
• Collaborative, ground‑up mindset with the ability to work across public, private and people sectors.

Responsibilities

• Formulating placemaking policies and regulations to realise objectives.
• Identify gaps and opportunities for programming; develop and implement initiatives for selected properties.
• Engage public agencies and partners to co-create placemaking concepts through arts, culture, heritage, wellness and markets.
• Research trends and identify best practices to adapt to SLA properties.
• Develop a network of partners to contribute programmes across SLA properties.
• Manage projects and activations from concept to post‑event evaluation; provide on‑ground support as needed.
• Coordinate schedules, budgets and requirements; manage consultants and service providers.
• Monitor deliverables and evaluate outcomes using footfall, engagement and stakeholder feedback.
