Job summary

GREAT OCEAN TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. invites applications for a Piping & Thermal Insulation Supervisor to oversee installation and maintenance of piping systems and insulation materials on industrial projects in Singapore.

You will supervise fabrication, erection, testing, and commissioning activities and coordinate with QA/QC inspectors. Responsibilities include managing pipefitters, insulators, welders, and helpers; conducting daily toolbox talks; ensuring QA/QC adherence and safety standards; and

Qualifications

• Experience with piping systems and insulation materials.

Piping & Thermal Insulation Supervisor

• A Piping & Thermal Insulation Supervisor plays a key role inoverseeing the installation and maintenance of piping systems and insulationmaterials in industrial, construction, or energy-related projects.
• Supervise piping installation activities including fabrication,erection, testing, and commissioning.
• Oversee thermal insulation works on pipelines, vessels, tanks, andequipment.
• Manage and direct teams of pipe fitters, insulators, welders, andhelpers.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure productivity targets aremet.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Conduct inspections of installed piping and insulation to ensurecompliance with QA/QC standards.
• Verify materials used for insulation and ensure proper installationmethods.
• Work closely with QA/QC engineers and inspectors during variousstages.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly work progress reports.
• Coordinate with planning teams forresource allocation and material availability.
• Assist in the preparation of work schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE)regulations.
• Identify potential hazards and take corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure use of proper PPE and safe work practices.
• Liaise with engineering, procurement, management, and clientrepresentatives.
• Resolve technical issues or clashes with other disciplines (e.g.,structural, electrical).
• Supervise pre-insulation and post-insulation inspections and checks.
• Maintain records of drawings, specifications, material certificates,and work permits.
• Log insulation thickness, type, and application method used ondifferent systems.
• Knowledge of piping systems, supports, and welding techniques.
• Familiarity with insulation materials, standards, and applicationmethods.
