Job summary

PaxOcean Group in Singapore is seeking a planning professional to plan and execute trade tasks with emphasis on safety, quality and productivity in ship building and repair.

You will prepare micro schedules, manhour loading, materials take-off and monitor work progress, coordinating with supervision across trades to ensure on-schedule delivery and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in shipbuilding or repair.
• Able to read and understand piping specifications and P&ID drawings.
• Good knowledge of pipe fitting and pipe welding.
• Experience in materials take-off and project management on vessels.
• Able to read technical drawings and plan tools, equipment, and manpower loading.
• Able to manage people and support other trades.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand technical specifications; prepare job lists and work schedules.
• Plan materials take-off and manpower for yard men and contractors.
• Prepare permits to work; conduct risk analyses and safety briefings.
• Coordinate with SRM, owner rep and other trade supervisors to ensure on-schedule completion.
• Ensure safety, discipline and welfare of subordinates; maintain housekeeping onboard.
