Job summary

Camarine Supervision is seeking an experienced Piping Engineer for a project located in Taiwan. The role involves guiding contractors, reviewing drawings, and supervising piping installation, steel structures, cold-box erection, and equipment installation.

Ideal candidates will have 6+ years of piping/mechanical site experience, familiarity with international codes, and strong organizational skills. Willingness to work on a Taiwan-based project is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 6 years of site construction experience in piping/mechanical works.
• Knowledge of construction methods: steel structures, cold-box, cryogenic and high-temperature piping, machinery installation.
• Brownfield project experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with international piping and mechanical codes/standards.
• Strong organization/coordination and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to work on a project in Taiwan.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to contractors to ensure correct interpretation and implementation of project standards, procedures and design requirements.
• Participate in drawing reviews, provide constructability input and follow through on agreed technical actions with the design team.
• Supervise site activities including demolition, piping installation, steel structures, cold-box erection, and equipment/machinery installation.
• Maintain discipline documentation and site records, and support receipt, inspection and handover of project equipment and materials to contractors.
• Perform safety supervision, participate in safety meetings, walks and toolbox talks, and exercise stop-work authority where an immediate serious hazard exists.
• Carry out quality inspections, identify non-compliance and verify corrective actions, including compliance with inspection and test plans (ITPs) and test packs.
• Collect and validate contractor progress and quantity data for reporting, schedule monitoring and progress measurement.
• Participate in completion and acceptance activities, including walkdowns, punch-list management, P&ID verification, piping cleanliness checks and close-out.
• Capture discipline lessons learned and close-out information for future projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 6 years of site construction experience in piping/mechanical works.
• Working knowledge of construction methods involving steel structures, cold-box installation, cryogenic and high-temperature piping, machinery and equipment installation.
• Experience on brownfield projects is an advantage.
• Familiarity with applicable international piping and mechanical codes and standards.
• Strong organisation, coordination and independent-working capability, with a positive and collaborative approach.
• Willingness and ability to work on a project assignment in Taiwan.
