Job summary

KINGSFORCE MANAGEMENT SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Piping Designer to join our engineering team in Singapore. You will produce piping layouts, GA drawings, isometrics and 3D models for chemical and petrochemical projects, working with SP3D, AVEVA E3D or PDMS, ensuring compliance with client specs and international codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of piping design experience in chemical/petrochemical/process plant projects.
• Proficient in SP3D, AVEVA E3D, PDMS, AutoCAD or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare piping layouts, GA drawings, isometric drawings and detailed fabrication drawings.
• Develop and maintain 3D piping models using SP3D, E3D, PDMS or other industry-standard software.
• Perform piping routing considering constructability, operability, maintainability and safety requirements.
• Coordinate piping layouts with process, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical and instrumentation disciplines.
• Generate piping material take-offs (MTOs) and supporting documentation.
• Participate in model reviews, design reviews and interdisciplinary coordination meetings.
• Incorporate client comments and engineering revisions into design deliverables.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specs, industry standards and quality requirements.
• Support site engineering teams by resolving piping design issues during construction and commissioning.
• Maintain project schedules and deliver piping design packages within timelines.

About the Company

Our client is a well-established engineering and project services organisation supporting the energy and chemical processing industries across Singapore and the region. With a strong track record in delivering EPC, EPCM and brownfield projects, the company provides engineering solutions for petrochemical, chemical, refining and industrial facilities. Due to continued project growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Piping Designer to join their engineering team.

About the Role

As a Piping Designer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality piping design deliverables for chemical and petrochemical projects. Working closely with Piping Engineers and other engineering disciplines, you will develop detailed 3D models, layouts, isometric drawings and construction deliverables while ensuring compliance with client specifications, international codes and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare piping layouts, GA drawings, isometric drawings and detailed fabrication drawings.
• Develop and maintain 3D piping models using SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), E3D, PDMS or other industry-standard software.
• Perform piping routing while considering constructability, operability, maintainability and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of piping design experience in chemical, petrochemical, refinery or process plant projects.
• Proficient in SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), AVEVA E3D, PDMS, AutoCAD or equivalent piping design software.
• Good understanding of piping layout philosophy, piping supports, equipment arrangement and plant design.
• Familiar with P&IDs, piping specifications, plot plans and engineering standards.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Able to work independently while managing multiple project deliverables.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Singapore project experience will be an advantage.
