Job summary

National University of Singapore invites applications for a Technical Specialist in NUS Enterprise, ETP - Administration, Kent Ridge Campus. You will translate lab-level semiconductor processes into a repeatable pilot line capable of delivering industry-grade samples with traceability.

Role requires hands-on development of wafer bonding, epitaxial growth, and associated unit processes, plus defining CTQ parameters, documentation, and transfer packages for industry sampling.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in semiconductor process development, integration, or pilot-line scale-up.
• Hands-on expertise in wafer bonding, epitaxial growth (111-V and/or GaN), and supporting unit processes such as CMP, thermal processing, and metallization readiness.
• Experience defining end-to-end process flows and transitioning technologies from lab or prototype stage to pilot production.
• Strong background in yield engineering, SPC, process control, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience selecting, qualifying, and sustaining semiconductor process equipment and metrology tools.
• Experience producing comprehensive process documentation and transfer packages suitable for industry-grade sampling.
• Prior experience leading or mentoring multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Ability to operate effectively in a pilot environment with evolving processes, tight timelines, and cross-functional dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Define the pilot-line process architecture & roadmap.
• Own end-to-end process flow definition for the targeted platform with maturity roadmap to pilot scale.
• Develop, optimise, and lock process recipes for scale across critical modules.
• Lead hands-on process development and optimisation for bonding, epitaxy, CMP, and related steps.
• Define CTQ parameters, establish SPC/PC monitors, and drive root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate external foundries and supplier interfaces for pilot production.
• Produce the full pilot-line transfer kit: processes, BOMs, specs, and control plans.
• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams and ensure stable pilot outcomes.
